A shaded silver Persian female with excellent doming, tiny, well-placed ears, a short nose with a deep break, and big, round, deep green eyes placed as 16th Best Cat. GC, NW Diadem Dilemma, called "Dilly", was bred and owned by Janice Reichle (Warren, NJ). This was the first national campaign in which Janice had participated, urged on by Joan O’Hara. Dilly became only the third shaded silver to place as a national winner.
Although Janice has bred 53 silver grands and has three Distinguished Merit cats to her credit (which is the record for a silver breeder), having achieved a national win is a first for her. This win is truly special, partly because there have been so few silvers to have attained such a title, and also because this is such a "wonderful and satisfying finale" to Janice’s 40-year-long breeding career.

Dilly was the Best of Breed in the Silver and Golden Division for 1998-1999. she also achieved 20th Best Kitten in the North Atlantic Region 1997-1998. Of special note is the fact that no other silver has attained as many "highest scoring cat in show" wins as Dilly!

Janice and Dilly flew to only three shows, two of which were combined with family visits. Janice found "campaigning" every bit as exhausting as she expected, but great fun as well, in that she was able to display a cat who truly enjoyed being shown.
