Joyvyn Purrfect Sirprize bred to CH Exton Candy Lady of Joyvyn produced the lovely GC Joyvyn Candy Kisses born October 28, 1983. Candy, as she was known, loved the shows and stood on the judging tables like a Queen. She seemed as though she was proud to be judged. Joy showed her extensively in 1984 earning a Regional win and National Best Shaded Silver win for the year.
Candy, like her sire was extremely sweet and loved having her belly rubbed. She was well known for her extreme head type and “shortness”, as she had a very short body, legs, and tail. She consistently passed on these traits to her offspring as well as her wonderful show personality. Later, Joy entrusted Candy to Becky Adcock and she lived out her life with the Becky’s lovely Adcock kitties.
Joy bred Candy to Sirprize several times producing GC Joyvyn Amelia of MJS, GC Joyvyn Divinity Candy of Elmbud, GC Joyvyn Fallan, GC Joyvyn Gentleman Jim, GC Joyvyn Sweet Carolina of Adcock. Bred to CH Joyvyn Dream Come True produced Candy’s sixth “Grand” offspring: GP Joyvyn Candy's Dream of Romara. The Joyvyn cattery name is a combination of Joy and her deceased husband’s name Vin, thus Joyvyn. Joy has been actively breeding and showing cats since 1982, producing a total of 36 Grands and two DMs.
