Distinguished Merit Winners

To win the coveted the Distinguished Merit title, a female must have five offspring earn the title Grand Champion or Grand Premier or the title DM. A male must sire fifteen offspring earn the title Grand Champion or Grand Premier or the title DM. The title Distinguished Merit Award and Title was first recognized in 1981, but can be gained retroactively via petition to CFA, identifying the qualifying offspring.

Janice Reichle of Diadem fame can be credited for petitioning for GC Gray Ivy Winsome's Distinguished Merit award and Persian Linechasers discovered and petitioned for GC Gipanglin Tiffany's Distinguished Merit award.
